COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech Director of Athletics Mark Wilson announced the decision to make a change in leadership at the top of the softball program Friday afternoon.
Michelle DePolo had served as the Golden Eagle head coach for the past three seasons, accumulating a 61-61 overall record and 26-34 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play. In the 2022 season, the purple and gold posted 33 wins, the most since 2015, while seeing a sharp uptick in offensive productivity.
"Coaching at Tennessee Tech has been a growth opportunity for me as a coach," DePolo expressed. "I have appreciated my time here and am proud of the strides we made. I wish the program the best moving forward."
Wilson said, "I thank Coach DePolo for her service to Tennessee Tech and appreciate her time here as head coach. We wish her great success in the next chapter of her coaching career."
A national search for the next Tech head softball coach will begin immediately.
