COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech softball coaches will host four mini clinics, a mini camp and a pitching/catching clinic this summer.

Under the Championship Softball Camps banner, the clinics will be held on June 11 and 25, as well as July 16 and 30. The clinics are open to student athletes entering eighth grade through high school seniors.

The clinics include sessions on hitting philosophies, with hitting and slapping philosophies, tee work, live/front toss and situational hitting. The defensive portion will be split into infield and outfield, with the campers working on all aspects of defense.

Campers are asked to bring a helmet, bat, batting gloves, tennis shoes, cleats and water for the hitting session; glove, tennis shoes, cleats and water on defense.

The cost is $30 per session or $50 for both defensive and hitting session.

The pitching/catching clinic will be held on August 24, while the mini camp will be held on Aug. 25 and 26. Instruction will include but not limited to hitting, bunting, base running, fielding, slapping, mental game, throwing and strength and sprint training.

The cost for the mini camp is $150 before Aug. 18, $175 at the door. The pitching clinic is $75 before Aug. 18, $100 at the door. The cost for both the camp and clinic is $160 before Aug. 18, $200 at the door.
