COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- As the Ohio Valley Conference softball season drew to a close on Saturday, the Tennessee Tech softball team will get its chance to earn another OVC tournament crown as the Golden Eagles received a berth in the postseason tournament.

Tech claimed the No. 7-seed in the tournament, which begins on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles will open play with a 12:30 p.m. contest against No. 2-seed UT Martin.

Wednesday, May 10
Game 1 -- No. 3 SIU Edwardsville vs. No. 6 Eastern Kentucky -- 10 a.m.
Game 2 -- No. 2 UT Martin vs. No. 7 Tennessee Tech -- 12:30 p.m.
Game 3 -- No. 4 Eastern Illinois vs. No. 5 Murray State -- 3 p.m.
Game 4 -- No. 1 Jacksonville State vs. No. 8 Belmont -- 5:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 11
Game 5 -- Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 -- 10 a.m.
Game 6 -- Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 -- 12:30 p.m.
Game 7 -- Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4 -- 3 p.m.

For the second straight season, the tournament will be held at Oxford, Ala.'s Choccolocco Park.
