COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Golden Eagle softball team joined forces with Operation Christmas Child Samaritans Purse in a special holiday project. Several members of the team created boxes to be sent to unprivileged children across the globe.
After the boxes were created, the team helped pack a box truck stuffed full of boxes, to send to Samaritans Purse locations to be distributed.
"This is such a great day for our girls and for our community," said head coach Tory Acheson. "It does not take more than thought and time to make a difference in the world, and with Operation Christmas Child we were able to do just that."
