Golden Eagles host crucial series  against Morehead State

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Currently sitting in seventh place in the Ohio Valley Conference standings, the Tennessee Tech softball team will look to climb up the standing as it hosts a three-game series Friday against sixth-place Morehead State.

Morehead State owns an 18-27 record, including a 9-12 OVC record. The Eagles are currently on a six-game winning streak, five of which came in six innings or less. Kayla Brill leads MSU in home runs and runs batted in with eight and 36, respectively.
 
The Golden Eagles recently lost a pair of games at Jacksonville State and are looking to snap a five-game losing streak. The Tech offense is led by Callie Schmidt and Brittney Spalding, who have each driven in 22 runs.
 
The first pitch for Friday's doubleheader is set for 1 p.m., with the second game following shortly after. Game three of the series is set for Saturday, at 1 p.m.
