BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Sophomore Gilbert Boit has been named the adidas® OVC Co-Male Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced by the Ohio Valley Conference office Tuesday.

Boit is undefeated in Tech's three meets this season and most recently won Indiana's Sam Bell Invitational over the weekend with a time of 24:39.59, helping Tech to a seventh-place team finish. The time marks the seventh-fastest in Tech 8k history.

Boit has now won OVC Runner of the Week four times in his Tech career, including twice already in 2017.

For just the fourth time in conference history, Boit will share the weekly honor with two other runners, Eastern Kentucky's Erick Rotich and UT Martin's Edwin Kurgat. The OVC last named three Co-Male Runners of the Week on Sept. 17, 2002.
