Adam is a promising student athlete in his third year on the Golden Eagle squad...a strong runner with the ability to excel in the classroom.

AT TECH (In 2011): Adam ran in all seven meets for the Golden Eagles in 2011...set a new PR in four of those seven meets...was a consistent fourth-place finisher for Tech, placing there in every regular-season meet...ran an 8K PR of 27:37 at Evansville...after opening with a 30:00 time at Sewanee, lowered that time by nearly two minutes at set a new PR of 28:13 at Georgia State...lowered that time by two seconds at Jacksonville State with a 28:11, then dipped into the 27s at Evansville...ran a 27:48 at the OVC Championships to place fourth on the team...ran a 35:58 in the 10K at the NCAA South Regional and was Tech’s fifth finisher.

(In 2010): Adam competed in four cross country races in his debut season...proved his potential with a strong fourth-place finish on the team at the opening meet at Sewanee...clocked in a season-best time of 28:28.34.

HIGH SCHOOL: Adam was homeschooled through his pre-college career...competed in several 5K, 8K, 10K and half-marathon races...clocked in a best 5K time of 17:23...in the 10K, achieved a best time of 37:04...reached a time in the half-marathon of 1:23:10...also an achiever in academics and earned a 4.0 GPA at graduation.

PERSONAL:  Adam is the son of Andrew and Janice McLeod...birthdate is March 6, 1992...studying chemical engineering.
