Golden Eagle tennis team wraps up fall season at Wake Forest Fall Invitational

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech tennis team will wrap up its fall season over the weekend, as the Golden Eagles head to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the Wake Forest Fall Invitational.

The three-day event, hosted by Wake Forest from Friday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 10, will feature both singles and doubles play. Action is slated on three sets of courts, including campus, indoor and outdoor courts at the Wake Forest Tennis Center and Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center.

Tech will bring a trio of doubles tandems to the tournament, while seven different Golden Eagles will also appear in singles action. Friday's first round of doubles play will begin at 9 a.m. CT on the indoor courts and the first-round of singles play will kick off at 12:30 a.m.

The Tech tandem of Rafael Tosetto and Carlos Vicente will greet Clemson's Gabriel Diaz Freire and Yizhou Liu in the doubles first round on Court 8 at 9:00 a.m., while the Tech pair of Riku Kubota and Lucca Silva will lock up with North Carolina's Mark Dillon and Ladd Harrison in doubles first-round play on Court 5 at 10:00 a.m.

Rounding out double action for the Golden Eagles is the duo of Elias Grubert and Marc Mila squaring off with Radford's Will Crane and Karl Katlaps on Court 8 at 9:00 a.m.

As far as singles play is concerned, Tosetto will say hello to Duke's Omni Kumar on indoor Court 1 while Kubota will face off against Davidson's Axel Fries on outdoor Court 11. Mila will take on Wofford's Callum Rendle on campus Court 1 and Silva will play his first singles match against Clemson's Jaxon Wiley on campus Court 7.

Grubert is slated for a singles tilt with Clemson's Pierre-Louis Dodens on outdoor Court 1 while Vicente will face Richmond's George Lovitt on outdoor Court 3. Wrapping up the action in singles play for Tech is Fanis Kontopoulos, meeting up with Stetson's Christian Mills on outdoor Court 10.
