JUNIOR (2018-19): Kontopoulos finished his first season as a Golden Eagle strong with singles wins in six consecutive matches to close out the spring…won both of his singles bouts in OVC Tournament play with straight-set nods in the OVC Tournament semifinals against Eastern Illinois and the OVC Tournament championship match against Jacksonville State…provided Tech with a powerful punch at the bottom of the singles lineup with an unblemished 6-0 singles record out of the No. 6 spot, including 4-0 in conference action…went 10-7 in singles play during the fall…won four singles matches in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships (Oct. 11-14) to make it all the way to the consolation semifinals…posted a 5-5 doubles record during the fall.

SOPHOMORE (2017-18 – North Carolina Central): Named the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Tennis Player of the Year…First Team All-MEAC…10-7 singles record…all 10 wins came from the top spot in the lineup…went 3-1 against the MEAC Southern Division…twice named MEAC Player of the Week.

FRESHMAN (2016-17 – North Carolina Central): Second Team All-MEAC ... MEAC Rookie of the Week four times (Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 1 and March 29)  ... NCCU Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year ... Played No. 2 singles and boasted a winning record of 11-8 ... Went 11-11 in doubles, including 11-6 at No. 2 doubles with Davide Callegari and 4-0 in the MEAC Southern Division ... Singles wins against Presbyterian, Liberty, Coppin State, Loyola, Howard, Longwood, The Citadel, Morgan State, North Carolina A&T, UC Riverside and Bethune-Cookman
