Tech Athletics to host NCAA tennis selection show viewing party

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech tennis team is off to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006, and Tech Athletics wants all fans and alumni to be a part of the festivities as the Golden Eagles await their fate in Tuesday's NCAA Tournament selection show.

As Tech eagerly anticipates where and when they will play, TTU Athletics invites all fans and alumni to join the team in the Eagles Nest on the fourth floor of the Hooper Eblen Center for a special viewing party. Doors will open at 4 p.m. CT with the show beginning at 4:30. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The Golden Eagles are in the midst of one of the most successful seasons in program history. Having already captured its fourth regular season title in the last five years behind a perfect, 9-0, conference record, Tech marched into Nashville and seized the OVC Tournament title with a 4-2 win over Jacksonville State in the semifinals and a 4-3 victory against Eastern Kentucky in the championship bout. TTU's 15 wins are the most since the 2008 season.

The first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament are slated for May 13-15. Stay posted to ttusports.com as well as the Tech Athletics Facebook and Twitter for continuous updates on all things Golden Eagle tennis.
