COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech tennis team heads to the Commodore Scramble this weekend, where they will face opponents from Belmont, Alabama, Ole Miss, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, and host Vanderbilt.
Play begins Friday at 9:30 a.m. CT with doubles matches. Singles matches will follow. Match-ups for Saturday and Sunday will be set following Friday's competition.
Junior Gagan Jain will open with a match against Ryan Smith from Vanderbilt. Junior Othon Lima with also face a Vanderbilt opponent in Tate Allwardt. Freshman Eduardo Mena will challenge Sam Edwards from Alabama.
In the doubles matches, Jain will team up with fellow junior Alex Arovin to take on Louis Asser and Connor Glennon of Memphis.
The Commodore Scramble will be the final fall tournament for the Golden Eagles.
