COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After finishing off the Golden Eagle season undefeated in conference play, Tennessee Tech senior Syrym Abdukhalikov earned his third straight adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Male Athlete of the Week honor in tennis.

Abdukhalikov went two-for-two last week, as he was 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot as Tennessee Tech picked up two conference wins on the road to claim the OVC regular season championship.

Against Austin Peay, he earned his eighth win of the season with a victory over undefeated Sean Bailey. Abdukhalikov wrapped up the season with a win over Murray State’s Adam Taylor. He teamed up with Alejandro Augusto to record a pair of doubles victories.

Abdukhalikov posts a perfect 9-0 OVC singles mark and a 9-0 league doubles record. Overall, the senior is 14-2 in singles play, and 10-6 in doubles.

Tech went undefeated in conference play, posting a 9-0 record. The Golden Eagles clinched the No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament, and will take the court Saturday at 2 p.m. in Paducah, Ky., against the winner of Friday's match between the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds.
