COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech tennis team, 2-0 in the
Ohio Valley Conference this season and owning a 10-match league
regular season winning streak, will be in Kentucky this weekend for
a pair of conference tests. The Golden Eagles play at Morehead
State Friday and Eastern Kentucky Saturday.
Morehead State enters this weekend with a record of 6-8, and 2-2 in the conference. The Eagles have been very difficult to beat at home, where they are 5-1 and 1-1 against OVC foes. Tennessee Tech faces the Eagles on Friday at 11 a.m. The match will be held at Sadler Courts if weather permits. Otherwise, the teams will play at the EAGLE Center.
Saturday, the Golden Eagles look to make it two-in-a-row
against Eastern Kentucky after snapping a four-match losing streak
against EKU last season. The Colonels own a 3-1 conference record,
notching wins against Murray State, Belmont, and Tennessee State.
Tech faces EKU at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Greg Adams Indoor
Tennis Center.
The Golden Eagles opened OVC play by posting homecourt victories
over Tennessee State and Belmont.
