CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's tennis team saw its undefeated Ohio Valley Conference record come to an end as it absorbed a 5-2 loss at Austin Peay Thursday.

The Govs were able to take two of the three doubles matches to secure the duals first point. TTU's duo of Alex Chen and Murilo deOliviera won Tech's lone doubles match as they defeated APSU's John Storie and Joao Pagan 8-6.

It was feast or famine for both teams in singles competition, as all six matches were decided in straight sets with Austin Peay claiming four of the six. Tech's two singles victories came off the racquets of Vasily Eremeev and Arturo Santa Ruize.

Eremeev downed Pagan in the No.4 four singles match by the scores of 6-2, 6-2, while Santa Ruize took the No. 6 match, as he defeated Storie 6-1, 6-3.

The Golden Eagles (4-7, 2-1 OVC) continue their OVC road trip Friday, as they take on Tennessee State, at 1 p.m.
