COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Three Golden Eagle players will be in
Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend competing in the Crimson Tide
Invitational at the University of Alabama. Coach Kenny Doyle will
take sophomore John Taylor, freshman Joseph Proctor and junior
James Crawford to the event.
"These three players haven't had the chance to play as much this
fall, so it's a good chance for them to play, gain some experience,
and see where they stand," Doyle said.
Taylor is scheduled to face Tommy Cundy of Troy University in his
first match in the Palmer Singles Draw. In the Musso Draw, Proctor
will face ALabama's Ian Chadwell. Crawford will compete in the
Shealy Draw, and will meet Alex Metzner of Radford to open
play.
Crawford and Proctor will team up in the doubles event, where they
are in the White Draw and scheduled to play Brian Locklear and
Jonathan Schroeder of Boston College in their opening match.
It's the final event on the fall portion of the team's 2010-11
schedule. Results will be posted on TTUsports.com when they become
available.
