Men’s tennis to compete at Crimson Tide Fall Championships this weekend

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech men's tennis team will be represented this weekend at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships, which takes place Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1. The Golden Eagles will send five players to compete in the 16-team invitational. Team scores will not be kept.

Juniors Josh Girling and Mario Gutierrez, sophomore Alex Chen and freshmen Arturo Santa Ruiz and Oscar Pachon will make the trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend for the men's final scheduled action of the fall.

The tournament will consist of five singles draws and two doubles draws.

Teams competing this weekend include Alabama, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Jacksonville State, Kentucky, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Radford, Southern Miss, Tennessee, UT-Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech, Tulane, UAB and Vanderbilt.

Results will be posted throughout each day of the tournament on Alabama's Web site, www.rolltide.com.
