BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – The first event of the 2023-24 season officially came to a close for the Tennessee Tech men's golf team Wednesday, as the Golden Eagles completed play at the Allstate Streamsong Invitational at Streamsong Resort in Bowling Green, Fla.
The purple and gold completed the opening weekend of action 12th overall, producing a third-round 313 for a 907 overall. Kennesaw State won the event, posting a 31-under 845 collectively for the week. Lipscomb's Will Holan delivered his third straight round under 70 to take home individual medalist honors, backed by a 16-under 203.
Leading the way for the Golden Eagles was sophomore Haden Maxwell, tying for 22nd among the 60-man field with a 216. Behind two birdies, he turned in a 1-over 74 on Wednesday, completing the event 3-under.
Tying for 47th was fellow sophomore Anders Larson, tallying a 79 for a 226 between all three days of action. He finished the event at 7-over after totaling two birdies on the day.
Veteran Sean Anderson carded an 81 to wrap up the week with a 230 while junior Alexander Bassel completed the event with a 236 after a round of 79.
After shooting a 1-over 74 on Monday, junior Jackson Skeen did not compete on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Next on the docket for the Golden Eagles is UT Martin's Grover Page Classic, taking place at Jackson Country Club Monday, Sept. 18 through Tuesday, Sept. 19.
