Purple and gold to compete in Georgia State Invitational Monday and Tuesday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team heads south for Duluth, Ga. and Berkeley Hills Country Club, competing in the Georgia State Invitational Monday, Oct. 3 and Tuesday, Oct. 4. 

GEORGIA STATE INVITATIONAL: Oct. 3-4, 2022 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,706-yard Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. Play will begin Monday with 36 holes of action. Tech will compete in one more round on Tuesday to conclude the event.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Jackson Skeen, junior Mark McDearman, freshman Anders Larson, senior Chance Taylor, and freshman Haden Maxwell. Competing as an individual is junior Bryce Beeler.

THE COMPETITION: The 16-team field consists of host Georgia State, as well as App State, Austin Peay, Central Michigan, Florida A&M, Jacksonville State, James Madison, Lipscomb, Marshall, Nicholls State, North Alabama, Old Dominion, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, Valdosta State, and Wright State.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "After a week off, we are ready to get back after it in Duluth. We have always enjoyed competing at Berkeley and look forward to the opportunity once again. This will be the beginning of three weeks in a row to conclude the season, so these events are important to build some good momentum into the spring."
