Tech men's golf team heads west for Grover Page Classic

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team continues its fall slate with UT Martin's Grover Page Classic Monday and Tuesday, competing at Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn.

GROVER PAGE CLASSIC: Sept. 19-20, 2022 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,816-yard Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn. Play will begin Monday with 36 holes of action. Tech will compete in one more round on Tuesday to conclude the event.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Jackson Skeen, senior Chance Taylor, junior Mark McDearman, sophomore Alexander Bassel, and freshman Anders Larson. Competing as an individual is junior Sean Anderson.

THE COMPETITION: The 16-team field consists of host UT Martin, as well as Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Belmont, Central Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Murray State, New Orleans, Nicholls, North Alabama, SIUE, Southeastern Louisiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech. Middle Tennessee will have individuals competing in the field as well.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "After a solid start at Golfweek, we are very excited to go back to the Grover Page Classic. We have had a lot of success over the years at this event and look to continue that this upcoming week. The golf course is fantastic and the field looks to be very solid. This will be a great opportunity for us as we continue the fall season."
