COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team will make the trek south for the two-day Georgia State Invitational Monday and Tuesday, competing at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga.
GEORGIA STATE INVITATIONAL: Oct. 11-12, 2021 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,694-yard Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. Play will begin Monday with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT. The third and final round will commence Tuesday with tee times starting at 7:00 a.m.
GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Nick Sutton, junior Chance Taylor, senior Bracton Womack, redshirt freshman Jackson Skeen, and returning freshman Mark McDearman.
THE COMPETITION: The 16-team field consists of host Georgia State, as well as Bellarmine, Davidson, Florida A&M, Lafayette College, Mercer, North Alabama, Oakland, Old Dominion, Richmond, Samford, Tennessee Tech, Troy, Wright State, West Virginia, and Western Kentucky.
THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "The guys are playing some wonderful golf right now. We look to continue that momentum in Duluth. It has been several years since we've been to Berkeley Hills but I believe the course sets up very well for our players. We look forward to the opportunity that lies ahead."
