Tech men's golf team headed for The National Intercollegiate in Greensboro, Ga.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team returns to action after a brief break from the links, headed south for The National Intercollegiate hosted by Mercer at The National Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Monday and Tuesday.

THE NATIONAL INTERCOLLEGIATE: Mar. 29-30, 2021 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,955-yard National Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga. Play will begin Monday at 7:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are senior Bracton Womack, sophomore Nick Sutton, freshman Mark McDearman, junior Chance Taylor and junior Bryce Beeler.

THE COMPETITION: The 13-team field consists of host Mercer, as well as Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Belmont, Dalton State, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Morehead State, North Alabama, Stetson, Tennessee Tech, Troy and UT Martin. Georgia State will have three golfers competing as individuals. 

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "After a strong finish at the BNI, we are looking to continue that momentum into Mercer. This is a new event for us and with a lot of OVC teams participating, it will be a good barometer for us as we enter the main portion of the spring season. We look forward to the opportunity ahead and are ready to get after it."
