Beeler named to All-OVC Newcomer Team at annual league banquet

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech freshman Bryce Beeler was selected to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer Team Sunday evening at the league's annual Awards Dinner as part of the OVC Championships.

Beeler ranked 24th in the league in scoring heading into the OVC Championships first round on Sunday, posting a stroke average of 74.0 with two top-10 finishes and one medalist performance. Hhe ranked third on the Tech squad in scoring average while playing in seven regular season events.

The native of Maryville broke current senior Matthew Giles' freshman record for 54 holes earlier this spring, firing a 208 to win the Big Blue Intercollegiate. He also became the first Tech rookie to score back-to-back sub-70 rounds since Charles Seals did in 2017.
