Golden Eagles headed for Grover Page Classic, compete Monday & Tuesday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team continues its spring season Monday, heading west to the Grover Page Classic hosted by Ohio Valley Conference rival UT Martin. The Golden Eagles will compete at Jackson Country Club, playing 36 holes on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday.

GROVER PAGE CLASSIC: Mar. 11-12, 2019 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,776-yard Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn. Teams will kick off with a 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on both days.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Will Brooks, junior Cameron Yeary, freshman Bryce Beeler, sophomore Bracton Womack and senior Matthew Giles. Competing as individuals are junior Dabney Dickenson, freshman Cade Puryear and freshman Chance Taylor.

THE COMPETITION: The 10-team field consists of host UT Martin, as well as, Alabama A&M, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Brescia, Hannibal-LaGrange, John A. Logan, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, and Union University.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "Our team has traditionally done very well at this event as the course sets up very well for our team. We have come very close to winning this tournament several times, and we look forward to giving ourselves the opportunity to do it again this year."
