Golden Eagles continue spring slate at Grover Page Classic

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team continues its spring slate Monday and Tuesday, heading west to Jackson Country Club for the Grover Page Classic hosted by Ohio Valley Conference rival UT Martin.

GROVER PAGE CLASSIC: Mar. 12-13, 2018 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,776-yard Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn. Teams will kick off action with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Monday and finish with another 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Matthew Giles, freshman Will Brooks, senior A.J. Wilkerson, sophomore Dabney Dickenson and freshman Bracton Womack. Competing as individuals are sophomore Cameron Yeary and senior Alexander Riddle.

THE COMPETITION: The 10-team field consists of host UT Martin, as well as Bethel, Delta State, Eastern Illinois, Incarnate Word, John A. Logan, New Orleans, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Union.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "We're looking forward to heading back to Jackson Country Club. The guys have had a lot of success there over the years, and we fully expect to put ourselves in great position come Tuesday morning. We're excited for the tournament to start."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Golden Eagles continue their tradition of participating in the Grover Page Classic, a tradition that has seen quite a bit of success in recent seasons. In the past four seasons, Tech has notched finishes of fourth, tied for second, second and third, and will look to build on the past success.
