Tech men's golf team faces challenging field at Pinetree Intercollegiate

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With two top five finishes already in the books this season, the Tennessee Tech men's golf team will look to add another to its resume as the Golden Eagles head south for the Pinetree Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday.

Hosted by Kennesaw State in Kennesaw, Ga., the 54-hole event is set to play at a par of 72 and 7,108 yards. The event will kick off Monday morning with players teeing off from holes No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 7:00 a.m. CT. Following 36 holes on Monday, the final 18 holes will commence Tuesday morning with another 7:00 a.m. start, again with players teeing from the first and tenth holes.

The 12-team field features programs from all over the southeast, including Ohio Valley Conference rival Jacksonville State. Here is a look at the participating teams:

"This team is looking to continue the momentum after a great showing in Bowling Green last week," head coach Polk Brown said. "The field this week is very talented and the golf course is supposed to be very good. I know the guys are excited to get down there and see what they can do against some strong competition. We've all been looking forward to this event for a long time and I anticipate us doing very well."
