Golden Eagles return to the links at the Grover Page Classic

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After a week away from the links the Tennessee Tech men's golf team will return to action Sunday morning, taking part in the 2014 Grover Page Classic hosted by UT Martin in Jackson, Tenn.

Located on the par-72 Jackson Country Club, the event is playing at 6,783 yards per 18 holes. The field will consist of 78 players on 13 teams, including the following listed in alphabetical order:

John A. Logan
Lipscomb
Morehead State
Murray State
Northern Kentucky
Southern Illinois
Tennessee State
Tennessee Tech
Trevecca
Union University
UT Martin (2)

The Golden Eagles return to the Grover Page Classic for the fifth consecutive season having placed in the top five of the event four times. Individually, Tech has had a player finish as high as second, back in 2010-11 in the form of Tyler Cassetty.

"I look for great things for the guys this week at Jackson Country Club," said head coach Polk Brown. "They have been working hard to prepare for this event and I'm confident they will put themselves in great position for the championship come Tuesday. They should have an awesome opportunity to win this tournament and create some solid momentum for events on the horizon."
