HEBRON, Ky. – Despite the threat of early inclement weather, the Tennessee Tech men's golf team will return to action Monday morning as the Golden Eagles travel north for the 2013 Bearcat Invitational hosted by the University of the Cincinnati.
The event, which will be held at Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky., will begin with a 10:30 a.m. CDT shotgun. The start time has been pushed back two hours due to impending weather still expected to be in the area.
The tournament will feature 54 holes on the par 72, 7,100-yard course and will be split between Monday and Tuesday. Round One will commence at the 10:30 start time and Round Two will follow immediately after. The second round will continue Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., followed by Round Three.
Fifteen different institutions will make up the 16-team field with several Ohio Valley Conference teams making the trip to Hebron, Ky.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a tough eighth-place finish at the Miller Memorial Invitational in Murray, Ky. last week. Tech had bounced out to an early fourth place ranking after the first round, but struggled to find the green in the final 36 holes of play.
"I am looking forward to seeing how the guys rebound from Murray's event last week," said head coach Polk Brown. "I've heard nothing but outstanding things about the golf course [Traditions Golf Club] and the field at the Bearcat Invitational looks to be tremendous. The defending OVC champs, Austin Peay, will be there along with four other conference schools. This should be a great test for our team. I'm very much excited for the opportunity to compete in this event."
For the third consecutive tournament, the top five for the Golden Eagles will look the same. Tech will be led by a young, but experienced group of golfers:
