In Spring 2013 (Junior): Garland participated in one spring tournament… at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 17-19), he carded identical rounds of 81 to finish tied for 52^nd… owned an average of 79.2 for the year.

In Fall 2012 (Junior): Garland competed in just one tournament in the fall after waiting to become eligible late in the season after transferring from Walters State CC… shot a low score of 75 in the third round of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate (Oct. 22-23)… also shot a 76 in the tournament, tying for 68^th overall.

Before Tech: Garland played two seasons on the golf team at Walters State Community College for coach Bill Gardner... was voted Junior College Academic All-America both years.

High School: Garland was a four-year letterwinner for coach Nick Cantrell at Cleveland High School... earned all-tournament honors in his senior season at both the district and regional tournaments.

Personal: Son of Tony and Dana Garland… born May 20, 1991… full name is Tanner Paul Garland… majoring in civil engineering.
