A new addition to the Golden Eagle roster in 2012-13, Mitch has the potential to have a major impact on the team during his career...an Honors student in high school, he also enjoyed a successful playing career and looks to add to his legacy in the collegiate ranks.

2012-13: Mitch made an instant impact for the Golden Eagles in the fall, shooting a team-best 76.3 average...scored a season-low round of 70 in his first collegiate round at the Mason Rudolph Championship (9/21)..tied for 31st at the Skyhawk Classic, carding a 71-73-76=220. In the spring, Mitch made a splash at the ASU Red Wolves Intercollegiate (4/1) as he carded a third-round 66, the lowest of any Tech golfer since Scott Stallings in 2006 and was then the lowest of any OVC golfer this year. His 77+71+66=214 earned him a 7th-place finish out of the 112 golfers in the field. He followed that tournament up with a 75+74+69=218 at the TSU Big Blue Intercolleigate, tying for 30th. Mitch was named the team's Best Putter and shared the Impact Award with two fellow teammates.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mitch was a four-year letterwinner at Knoxville Farragut High School where he played golf under former Golden Eagle Jonathan Cox...three-time selection on the All-Prep Extra Team...was the 2011 Region 2 medalist...helped his team win four consecutive district and regional championships and the TSSAA state championship in 2008 and 2009...also had a solid junior career, winning four tournaments and earning multiple Top 5 finishes...qualified into the Tennessee State Amateur and State Junior championships.
