2012-13 (Freshman): Adam competed in five fall tournaments, playing 12 rounds in his debut season as a Golden Eagle. Shot a low-round of 71 at the Mason Rudolph Championship (9/22). He averaged a round of 79.5 on the season. In the spring, he played in seven events, earning two top-15 finishes. At the Forest Hills Invitational (2/23), his 70+75=145 earned him a sixth-place finish, missing All-Tournament honors by just one stroke. In March, Adam shot a 75+74+76=225 at the Grover Page Classic to earn a 13th-place finish. His shining moment of the season came on April 15th as the freshman carded a first-round 67, tying for the sixth-best round of any OVC golfer this year. He shared the team's Impact Award with two teammates.

High School: A four-year letterman at Cookeville High School, played No. 1 for the last two years, Adam helped CHS compete as a team in the TSSAA State Championship his freshman and sophomore years. He was the winner of the 2011 Schooldays tournament shooting 66 to qualify for match play and then winning four consecutive matches. Adam was selected to the 2010 Tennessee all-state team, finishing in a tie for second in the TSSAA-AAA state tournament. He was selected the Nashville Tennessean's mid-state player of the year in 2010 and was second team in 2011, and was the district player of the year in 2010 and district co-player of the year in 2011, as selected by the coaches. Adam won the Regional championship in 2010. He finished 2nd in the PGA Junior Qualifier for Tennessee in 2011 and 2012 (69, 64).
