BUCHANAN, Tenn - The Tennessee Tech men's golf team held on down the stretch of Tuesday's final round at the Paris Landing Golf Course to take third place at the Skyhawk Classic. The Golden Eagles posted a team score of 295 on Friday to secure third place with a three-round score of 870, one stroke better than the fourth place team.

For the tournament, Tech was led by Wes Korth who fired a one-under par 215 over three rounds to finish in a tie for eighth place individually. Korth was four-under going into the final round on Tuesday after shooting rounds of one-under 71 and three-under 69 on Monday. However, the course played much tougher on Tuesday when the senior was forced to settle with a three-over 75.

TTU was led by Preston Marshall on Friday who finished with an even par 72. Marshall, along with teammate Jared Dunn, posted a three-round score of 218 to finish in a tie for 14th place.

Jake Heatherly and Blake Garrison also competed for the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, tallying scores of 75 and 77, respectively.

Central Arkansas captured the team title with a score of 839, while Jad Sinclair of Central Arkansas won the individual title after shooting a 13-under 203.

The men's golf team returns to action next Monday, Oct. 19 at the two-day Austin Peay Intercollegiate.
