Bradford, Painter lead respective Tech teams at Kennesaw Invitational

KENNESAW, Ga. - It took all day, but the the Tennessee Tech golf teams completed their first and second rounds at the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State. Junior Megan Bradford and senior Greyson Painter lead their respective teams heading into Day Two.

Bradford is currently tied for fourth with a 10 over par through the first two rounds. She shot a 79 in the first round and followed that up with a 75 in the second on the par 72 course. Junior Diana Carson was Tech's next top finisher on the women's side with a +15 for a 15th place. Maegan Sullivan (+16), Ashley Spangler (+22) and Carley Ryhne (+22) round out the other finishes for Day one.

On the men's side, Painter moved up on the leaderboard after round one. In a tie for 15th after the first round, he moved all the way up and is currently tied in sixth place with a +2 on the day. He shot a two over par in the first round and followed that up with an even 71 in the second to finish day one. Two players from ETSU currently lead the field with a -3 through the first two rounds.

Day 2 will see both team return to the links for the final 18 holes for the tournament.
