Golden Eagle men's basketball team returns to Pickett County High School for annual practice Oct. 16

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the third straight year, the Tennessee Tech men's basketball team will take to the road to host an off-site practice at Pickett County High School in Byrdstown, Tenn. on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The Golden Eagles kick off the evening with practice scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. CT.

"We greatly appreciate the opportunity to return to Pickett County," head men's coach Steve Payne said. "We'd like to thank everyone at Pickett County High School for helping us set it up, for the hospitality they always show and their assistance in helping us develop Golden Eagle basketball fans in that area. Our guys enjoy getting out on the road and I know it is always a great experience for them."

Tech will also host an open practice / intersquad scrimmage in the Eblen Center on Monday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. The Golden Eagles will then begin the 2018-19 season with a 7 p.m. road contest at Memphis on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Both the men's and women's teams will once again provide the main source of entertainment at the seventh annual Purple Palooza on Thursday, Oct. 25 with activities beginning at 6 p.m. For more information, please call 931-372-3669.
