COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The best dunkers in college basketball are filling out the bracket for the Dark Horse Dunker competition with the winner earning a spot in the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championships.

Tennessee Tech's Kajon Mack is among the 16 student-athletes competing for that dark horse spot in the competition and is in a tough matchup with Max Pearce from Purchase College.

Mack is currently the third-leading scorer on the team, averaging 12.6 points a game and has shot .403 from the field. He currently ranks 21st in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring.

The other competitors include:

•    Montrell Williams (Arkansas Tech University) vs. Quincy January (Saint Augustine's University)
•    TK Edogi (Iona College) vs. Tom Lacey (U.S. Naval Academy)
•    Walter Rickett (Oklahoma City University) vs. Darryl Tucker (University of West Florida)
•    Latye Workman (Brandeis University) vs. Jair Green (Gannon University)
•    Dwight Coleby (Western Kentucky) vs. Emanuel Terry (Lincoln Memorial University)
•    Demetre Rivers (Mercer University) vs. Dmitri Thompson (Elon University)

Fans can vote daily on www.darkhorsedunker.com through the five-week competition. Each round's voting is open for one week and the first week winners will be announced on Feb. 21 with the start of the second round.
