COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech senior guard Frank Davis has been named The Sports Zone Champion of the Week for his record-breaking performances last week in the Golden Eagle games against Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State.
Davis smashed the Tech career record for most 3-pointers, and will be recognized during the Jan. 21 doubleheader against Austin Peay.
The Sports Zone, sponsored by David Benjamin's Hi-tech DirecTV, airs on cable channel 7 on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. As part of the show, one student-athlete, coach or sports figure is selected as the Cookeville Regional/Sports One Champion of the Week.
