COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men’s
basketball team will continue its four-game season-opening road
trip when it visits Central Arkansas as part of the Hall of Fame
Showcase Monday night in Conway, Ark. Tech will meet Central
Arkansas, a member of the Southland Conference, for the first time
in program history.
TTU will also face Memphis (Nov. 20), Oakland (Nov. 23) and Kansas
(Nov. 27) within the Hall of Fame Showcase.
The Golden Eagles fell in the season opener at No. 18 Minnesota

finished 10-19 overall a season ago.
Tech was led by a pair of sophomores, Kevin Murphy and Zach
Bailey, in the season opener. Murphy scored a team-high 10 points
and also grabbed four rebounds. His 10-point performance was his
third consecutive double-figure scoring game, and his tenth in the
last 12 games, dating back to last season. Murphy is averaging 16.3
ppg in that span.
Bailey scored seven points in the game against Minnesota, and led
the team with six rebounds and three assists. Seniors Frank Davis
and Elijah Cunningham-Muhammad each scored nine points.
The Bears had three players reach double figures in their season
opener. Jared Rehmel led the team with 16 points, while Mike Pouncy
and Chris Williams each added 10.
The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in UCA’s Farris Center. Tech
