Justin McMullen
Title: Assistant Coach / General Manager / Director of Player Personnel

The Tennessee Tech football team announced yet another key piece to head coach Bobby Wilder's staff Friday, adding Justin McMullen as general manager and director of player personnel.

"I am thrilled to announce Justin McMullen as our new general manager and director of player personnel," Wilder said. "This is a critical position for our program as we set out to recruit the best players in Tennessee and beyond. He did an outstanding job at the University of New Hampshire building their recruiting department. It is critical in this day and age to make a first-class presentation to the recruits and their families. We will do that at Tennessee Tech University."

McMullen added: "I'm excited to join the Tennessee Tech family. I want to thank Coach Wilder for the opportunity to be part of such a great school, community and athletic program. I can't wait to get started building a championship-caliber program with Coach Wilder and the rest of the Golden Eagles!"

McMullen spent the past eight seasons at the University of New Hampshire, the first four as a student and the previous four as a full-time staff member. He served the Wildcat staff in a number of roles throughout his career in Durham, N.H., including video coordinator, general manager, director of player personnel, NFL Pro Liaison, and both defensive and special teams quality control.

In his roles as the general manager, director of player personnel, and NFL Pro Liaison at UNH, his duties covered a broad range including reaching out to high schools nationwide to build the team's recruiting database, hiring and managing the program's scouting and on-campus recruiting departments, and organize all aspects of official visits.

As the team's video coordinator, McMullen controlled all of the program's film processes, oversaw more than 20 interns in a number of roles, managed football-related social media, and served as the team's DVSport contact. During his time in defensive and special teams quality control, he created advance scouting reports for the defense, assisted with on-field drills, and worked closely with the Wildcat safeties and cornerbacks.

McMullen earned his bachelor's degree in sports studies with a minor in business administration from New Hampshire in 2020.
