2022 NFF Hampshire Honor Society inductees

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the National Football Foundation announced its 2022 Hampshire Honor Society, the Tennessee Tech football team had three players selected for inclusion as Jarrett Key, Tavin Kilpatrick and Jack Warwick were all named to the roster of 1,559 players from 313 colleges and universities across all levels of the game.
Key, an accounting major with a 3.67 GPA, played every game at long snapper and was a crucial part of Tech's kicking game, taking part in every kick the Golden Eagles had during his career.
Warwick, an animal science major with an emphasis in pre-veterinary medicine, posted a 3.41 GPA. He finished the season with 56 total tackles, including 3.5 for-loss, while also breaking up a pass and recovering a fumble.
Kilpatrick, the team's William V. Campbell nominee last fall, graduated with a 3.74 in mechanical engineering and continues his postgraduate work toward a master's in business administration. A preseason injury kept him from playing in the 2021 campaign. A spring 2021 inductee to the Hampshire Honor Society as well, he was retained for the 2022 selection after electing to return for another season.
The 1,559 honorees are the second-most in a single year since the program was started and has included 14,640 student-athletes since its inception in 2007.

"Over the last 16 years, the Hampshire Honor Society has served as a powerful vehicle for schools to recognize their college football players who have distinguished themselves both academically and athletically, and we congratulate the schools and each of these young men for their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their lives."
Also represented from the Ohio Valley Conference were Austin Peay's Damion Barber, Garrett Bell, Jack McDonald, Hunter Scholato and William Wilcox, as well as Eastern Illinois' Logen Neidhardt.
