BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The schedule will look a little bit different for the Tennessee Tech football team when Ohio Valley Conference play comes back around.

With the current conference alignment, the member schools will compete in a six-game round-robin as the official OVC schedule.

For the Golden Eagles, the OVC schedule will include:

9/25/21 – Eastern Illinois

10/2/21 – Southeast Missouri

10/16/21 – at Tennessee State

11/6/21 – at Murray State

11/13/21 – UT Martin

11/20/21 – at Austin Peay

While it will not affect the Golden Eagles in the 2021 campaign as Tech had an additional home game in the works to complete its 11-game schedule, the other OVC teams will play an additional one or two games against OVC opponents, contests that will not count in the OVC standings.

The decision was voted on by the OVC Directors of Athletics with the purpose in ensuring the unique scheduling needs of each member institution were addressed.

"This scheduling effort epitomized the spirit of cooperation and collaboration that exists among the OVC members," said OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche. "As a by-product of this effort, we believe we will enhance the sense of rivalry in the Conference and provide us with opportunities to showcase our outstanding level of competition."

Tech has already announced its contest at Tennessee on Sept. 18. The remainder of Tech's 2021 schedule will be announced at a later date.
