COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the Tennessee Tech football team heads down the home stretch of its 2019 spring practice schedule, the end of the tunnel is in sight as the team's Spring Game is just a week away.

The Golden Eagles will host the end-of-spring-practice event on Friday night, April 5, starting at 6:30 p.m. on the grass practice field adjacent to the Hooper Eblen Center and the Tech Soccer Field.

During the Spring Game, the Golden Eagles will put in their final work of the spring schedule and square off in an intersquad scrimmage. Fans and alumni are encouraged to attend to support the 2019 Golden Eagles and catch back up with former teammates.

Following the Spring Game, everyone is encouraged to go to the post-event gathering at John's Place, which will give the Tech football alumni a chance to tell old stories from the gridiron while grabbing a John Dog.

On Saturday, April 6, the team will recognize its 2018 award winners during the Letterman's Breakfast at the Athletic Performance Center behind the Averitt Express Baseball Complex and the Tech Softball Field. Nick Madonia (Robert Hill Johnson Award), Josh Poplar (Sonny Allen Leadership Award, Team Captain), Shannon Fayne (Tony Stone Bumble Bee Award), Seth Huner (Scholar-Athlete Award), Jake Warwick (Tech Pride Award), Deontay Wilson (Unsung Hero Award) and Anthony Akers (Team Captain) were the team's award winners. The breakfast begins at 9 a.m.
