Cody is one of the top returning receivers for the Golden Eaglesand will be a scoring threat on every snap...has the potential toemerge among conference leaders...hoping to avoid injuries thathave sidelined him in past years...runs precise routes and hasgreat size and excellent hands...after working at free safety inhis first season on the Golden Eagle roster, made the move from thedefensive secondary to a wide receiver position for the 2011season...has played in 27 career games and will top 1,000 careerreceiving yards early in his final year, entering 2014 with 964yards in 62 catches with 10 touchdowns...has made eight appearanceson the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. AT TECH (IN 2014): Cody closed out his Golden Eagle career by leading Tech in both receptions (48) and receiving yards (670)...named CoSIDA Academic All-District and named to the FCS ADA Scholar All-Star team...honored by the National Football Foundation Middle Tennessee Chapter as Tech's University Scholar-Athlete, and also won the C.R. Bickerstaff / Coach Bill Pace University Scholar-Athlete Award as top university scholar-athlete in the middle Tennessee area.

(IN 2013): Cody started seven games beforean injury ended the season early...when he went out, he was theteam’s top receiver...finished the year ranked third on theteam with 22 receptions and ranked second in recieving yards with330...his three touchdown catches tied for tops on thesquad...hauled in career-best nine catches at Hampton, accountingfor 114 yards and the eventual game-winning touchdown, a 32-yardcatch and run late in the contest from Darian Stone...pulled inseven passes for a career-high 130 yards and a touchdown against UTMartin.

(IN 2012): Cody played in all 11 contests for theGolden Eagles, and moved into a starting role for the last sixgames...pulled in 28 receptions for 477 yards, ranking second onthe squad in both categories...had four touchdown catches....hisseason-high game and season-long catch came at Murray State wherehe had three catches for 119 yards, including a 52-yard touchdowncatch...had five catches for 61 yards in overtime victory againstUT Martin and reached the end zone twice in that game...hadmultiple catches in eight games...averaged 17 yards per catch andmore than 43 all-purpose yards per game...also ranked second on theteam in average yard per catch (17).

(IN 2011): Appeared in nine games as a redshirtfreshman, picking up 169 yards and three touchdowns on 12catches...started to shine at the season’s end, scoring atouchdown in the final three games of the season and recording hisbest catch against Austin Peay in Tech’s OVC title game onNov. 19...caught a career-best 61-yard touchdown pass..in theGolden Eagles’ FCS playoff game against Central Arkansas, hehad five catches for 46 yards and a TD.

(IN 2010): Cody was injured during fall camp andredshirted in his first season on the Golden Eagle roster.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-sport standout at GallatinHigh School...lettered three years each on the football andbasketball teams...three-year starter on the gridiron for coachRobert Lassiter’s Green Wave...helped the team reach thequarterfinals of the TSSAA playoffs in his senior season...playedon both sides of scrimmage as a quarterback and free safety,focusing more on offense in his final two seasons...namedall-region as a sophomore defensive back when he produced 72tackles and one interception....earned all-region honors atquarterback as a junior...recognized on both sides of scrimmage asa senior, earning all Mid-State on defense and all-region onoffense...rushed for more than 1,000 yards and passed for more than1,000 yards in each of his final two seasons.
