COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech football fans planning to make
the trek to the midwest for the Golden Eagles' game at the
University of Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 7 -- and TTU alumni and
friends already in the region -- are invited to a Tailgate
gathering hosted by the TTU Alumni Association.
The tailgate is
from 8-10 a.m., and will be located and will be in Varsity
Hall I, in Wisconsin Union South, 1308 W. Dayton Street in Madison.
In addition to getting prepped for the game, attendees will have
the chance to meet TTU President Philip Oldham.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CDT, making for an early start
for fans planning to include tailgating activities in their gameday
experience. Tickets for the game can be purchased from the TTU
Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center, or through the Alumni
office.

The game will be played in Camp Randall Stadium, built in 1917 as
the home for Wisconsin's football team. The current capacity
(80,321) ranks among the nation's largest school-owned stadiums,
and a sellout crowd of is expected.
The Badgers open the 2013 season on Aug. 31 by hosting UMass at 11
a.m.

Tech opens the 2013 season in Tucker Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 29,
against Cumberland University at 7 p.m. The Kiss 98.5 FM Tailgate
Park opens at 4 p.m.
The game against Cumberland features three special events -- it's
Communiversity Night and First Tennessee Bank Poster Night, and
will also feature the introduction of a new tradition with the
"Running of the Freshman" led by TTU President Philip Oldham.
