Public invited as Golden Eagles hold annual awards dinner April 21


COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech football team will gather Sunday afternoon, April 21, for head coach Watson Brown to present the team's annual awards, and the public is invited to attend the 2 p.m. event in the Roaden University Center. The cost of the dinner is $16 per person.

The dinner is part of a weekend full of Golden Eagle football. On Saturday, the team will hold its annual Purple/Gold Spring Scrimmage in Tucker Stadium as the highlight of spring drills. Admission to the Purple/Gold Spring Scrimmage is free.

Brown will introduce the winners of the Robert Hill Johnson Award and several additional honors for the 2012 Golden Eagles including the Leadership Award, the Bill Dupes Inspirational Award, the Bumble Bee Award, the Unsung Hero Award, the Tech Pride Award and MVP honors by position. Brown will also announce the 2012 permanent team captains.
