An elusive and crafty running quarterback, Wade opted to become
a Golden Eagle following a successful career at Loudon High
School...joined the team as a walk-on and will work out as a wide
receiver in his rookie season...excellent speed.
AT TECH (In 2011): Proved to be a valuable
offensive body in workouts for the 2011 championship team...Saw the
field once against Maryville College but didn't put up any
stats.
HIGH SCHOOL: Wade was a four-year, two-way
starter for coach Jeff Harig at Loudon High SChool, helping the
Redskins to a 9-3 record as a senior and the second round of the
TSSAA playoffs...started at quarterback and safety...three-time
all-district and all-region selection...voted to the TSWA All-State
team as a senior...in his final campaign he rushed for 1,500 yards
and 20 touchdowns, and finished his career with more than 4,500
rushing yards and 40 touchdowns...career on defense netted five
pass interceptions...also ran track in his senior year, setting
school records in the 100m and 200m.
