COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – In order to help families, fans and
alumni in their planning for the coming football season, Tennessee
Tech Director of Athletics Mark Wilson has announced the dates for
two of the biggest events of the season – Family Weekend and
Homecoming.
Tech will host Family Weekend surrounding the game on Saturday,
Oct. 6, when the Golden Eagles host Jacksonville State. Tech and
JSU shared the Ohio Valley Conference championships last season
along with Eastern Kentucky. The starting time for the game has not
been determined.
Tech’s 2012 Homecoming/Hall of Fame Weekend will be Nov.
2-3, with the game set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, against
Eastern Illinois. The Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction will be
Friday night, Nov. 2.
“These are two of our most attended special events so we
wanted to let our fans, our alumni, our students and players’
families, and everyone who supports Golden Eagle football to know
when they are scheduled so they can begin to make their plans well
in advance,” Wilson said.
Additional special events and starting times for all six home
games will be announced later. Tech opens the season with two
Thursday night games, Aug. 30 against Hampton University and Sept.
6 against North Greeneville College.
Season tickets to follow the 2012 Golden Eagles are currently on
sale by calling (931) 372-3940 or visiting the Athletics Ticket
