Back to full strength, Kedrick looked solid in spring drills and
should see added playing time in 2011...returns at the Bandit
position...brings a good combination of size and speed to the
position...played extensively as a true freshman but missed all of
the 2009 campaign due to an injury...returned to the field for 2010
spring drills and was outstanding...made exceptional progress in
returning to form and will compete for playing time in his third
season in action...shows loads of potential...type of player who
will make big contributions in kick coverage on special
teams...made it to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the
spring semester.
AT TECH (In 2010): Played in nine of Tech's 11
games as a sophomore, returning from redshirt season to play an
important role off the bench at Bandit...missed early OVC games
against Southeast Missouri and UT Martin...finished the year with
10 total tackles...also spent time on special teams on kick
coverage squad.
(In 2009): An injury forced Kedrick to the sidelines for
the entire 2009 campaign.
(In 2008): Kedrick played in all 12 games as a true
freshman, including starts against Austin Peay and Eastern Illinois
late in the season...was one of three freshmen to rank among the
team's Top 10 in total tackles, finishing his rookie season with 37
total stops...had career-best seven tackles at Murray State and
followed the next week with six tackles against UT Martin, earning
him his first career start at Austin Peay...had four tackles
against the Govs, then made seven at Tennessee State...finished the
year with six tackles against Eastern Illinois as a starter...also
blocked a kick against the Panthers.
HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior at Antioch High School
under coach Mike Woodward, Kedrick had 93 total tackles, including
six tackles-for-loss, on his way to earning first-team all-region
and All-Metro honors...also had two quarterback sacks, caused one
fumble, recovered one fumble and had one interception, which he
returned for a touchdown...as a receiver, he made 14 catches for
231 yards and three touchdowns...a two-year starter, Towles had 70
tackles and five sacks as a junior.
