Golden Eagles featured twice on new OVC TV Game of the Week

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will be featured twice in the 2010 season on the Ohio Valley Conference TV Game of the Week, a new partnership between the conference and the Wazoo Sports Network.

The Wazoo Sports Network will begin airing the “Game of the Week” starting in September and running through November.

Tech will be on the teleast once on the road and once at home. The first will be Saturday, Oct. 23, when the Golden Eagles play at Tennessee State in LP Field in Nashville. The second, and the final game of the series, comes on the final week of the regular season when the Golden Eagles host Jacksonville State in Tucker Stadium. Kickoff for all of the OVC Game of the Week telecasts will be at 6 p.m. CT.

“Wazoo Sports is excited once again to partner with the OVC to bring college football fans the best OVC Conference matchups,” said Jeff Sheppard, Wazoo Sports Vice President of Business Development and former University of Kentucky Wildcat MVP.

"Television is important for the visibility of the Ohio Valley Conference," said OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche. "The OVC has many good stories to tell and we hope through this football TV package and partnership with Wazoo we are able to share our stories throughout the Conference footprint."

A complete list of the stations and affiliates outside the Wazoo Sports Network coverage area that will broadcast the games will be released in August.
