An extremely talented linebacker, Blake comes off a redshirt campaign poised to make an impact in his debut season...will line up at the renegade middle linebacker position...a physical player with great quickness and excellent footwork...extremely hard worker...was sidelined during 2010 spring work with an injury...enters his second season on the Golden Eagle roster with great expectations and a chance to work his way up the depth chart.
AT TECH (In 2009): Blake was on the roster in a redshirt role in his first season with the Golden Eagles.
HIGH SCHOOL: Blake was named first-team All-Dekalb County in 2007 and 2008 while starring for Dunwoody High School, and was voted the team MVP as a senior...won the Outstanding Linebacker Award as a junior and senior, and was a team captain in the Dekalb County All-Star Game...an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Player of the Week, he was voted CSS second-team all-state as a senior when he made 118 tackles, 40 assists, five tackles-for-loss, one quarterback sack and one fumble recovery which he returned for a touchdown...one of two signees from Dunwoody School, joining linebacker teammate Jerry King...in addition to three letters on the gridiron, he also lettered three times in shot put with the track & field team.
