2023 (Sophomore – Vol State CC): Vrabel appeared in all 55 of the team’s games on the year… led Vol State and the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association with 18 doubles… slashed .298/.390/.541 on the year… tallied 54 hits, 39 runs, a triple, eight home runs, 34 RBI, 20 walks, and nine stolen bases… racked up season-highs of four hits, five RBI, and three runs in four at-bats against Vincennes (Mar. 8)… smacked home runs in four-straight games from Apr. 4 through Apr. 8… strung together an 11-game hitting streak from Apr. 11 to Apr. 30, batting .526 over that span… tallied multi-hit contests 12 times… drove in multiple runs in six games.

2022 (R-Freshman – Vol State CC): Vrabel played in 41 of Vol State’s 48 games… led the team with 12 home runs and 40 RBI… ended the year with a .250 batting average, .357 on-base percentage, and .567 slugging percentage… finished his first year with 30 hits, 27 runs, two doubles, and 14 walks… made his debut with a 2-for-4 showing and two RBI against Jackson College (Feb. 19)… piled up season-highs of three hits, five RBI, and three runs thanks to a pair of home runs in the first game of a doubleheader at Cumberland (Apr. 4)… smashed two more dingers in game two of the double dip with Cumberland (Apr. 4), driving in four more runs… crushed a grand slam against Schoolcraft College (Feb. 28)… clobbered another grand slam against Southwest Tennessee (Apr. 10)… recorded multiple hits in eight games… drove in multiple runs 10 times.

2021 (Freshman – Wabash Valley College): Vrabel sat out the 2021 season at Wabash Valley as a redshirt.

High School: Vrabel was a two-sport athlete when in high school in Houston, playing quarterback and safety for the football team… gave up fooball upon his family’s move to Nashville following his father’s arrival as the Tennessee Titans’ head coach… played baseball at Father Ryan High School in Nashville, competing as a pitcher and third baseman.

Personal: Son of Jen and Mike Vrabel… born in Columbus, Ohio on November 20, 2001… full name is Carter Michael Vrabel… father, Mike, played defensive end on the Ohio State football team from 1993-96, was a two-time First-Team All-American and two-time Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year, and was selected in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers… Mike played for the Steelers from 1997-2000, the New England Patriots from 2001-08, and the Kansas City Chiefs from 2009-10… Mike won three Super Bowl rings with the Patriots, was named First-Team All-Pro in 2007, and was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame… Mike served as head coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2018-23, earning NFL Coach of the Year honors in 2021… brother, Tyler Vrabel, was an offensive tackle at Boston College from 2018-21 and is currently signed to a reserve/future contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

Academic: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
