Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview (3/2)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team hits the road for a four-game stretch, starting with a midweek tilt at Georgia Tech Tuesday evening. The Golden Eagles will take on the Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. CT in Atlanta, Ga., the team's fifth contest against a Power-5 Conference opponent in its last eight games.
The match-up marks the first between the two teams since a three-game series during the 2002 campaign. Georgia Tech swept the Golden Eagles in the first weekend series of that season. Tech's last win over the Yellow Jackets came back during the 1989 campaign, a 7-6 victory in Atlanta on May 4.
Last week, both the Golden Eagles and Yellow Jackets endured series sweeps to their respective opponents. Tech fell in three contests in Cookeville to visiting Bradley while Georgia Tech dropped three games to nationally-ranked Georgia.
